I’m Roni Gilboa Maguire, a birth doula based in Ireland, and Birth in Flow is the heart of my work at Endless Knot. I came to this role after more than fifteen years of teaching Pilates, breathwork and embodied movement - work that taught me how much the body already knows when the mind is given room to quieten.

My background is perhaps less conventional than most doulas. I trained as a contemporary dancer, studied Philosophy and Psychology, and completed a Master’s in Organisational Psychology at DCU. I spent years inside global organisations including Google and TikTok, designing leadership and well-being programmes. That corporate chapter sharpened my ability to ask clear questions, translate complexity, and advocate for the human being inside the system - skills I now bring with me into labour wards, midwifery-led units and living rooms across Ireland.

I am also a mother of two daughters, and my own births reshaped what I thought I knew about strength, surrender and informed choice. My daily meditation practice, rooted in somatic, breath and Tibetan Buddhist traditions, keeps me steady - so that when you are in the intensity of labour, I can be the calm, unwavering presence at your side.

As your doula, I do not replace your midwife or doctor. I am the continuity: the person who knows your preferences, who reminds you to breathe, who asks the next right question, and who helps you navigate change without losing your sense of agency. Whether you are planning a physiological hospital birth, a home birth under the HSE scheme, a VBAC, or simply want to feel more prepared, my role is to help you birth in flow.
